Financial Translations
The global world of finance requires specialised operators that work across national borders, communicating correctly in multiple languages.
Between striving to achieve the best business results and complying with stringent international regulatory requirements, the challenges for those working in the financial sector today are manifold. Hence the need for a qualified translation partner specialised in the global financial and economic sector.
The areas involved in financial translation are macroeconomics, microeconomics, finance, investment, accounting, business and management.
Large-scale financial transactions, requests for funding, business partnerships and business internationalisations require the translation of various types of documents. These should be entrusted to linguistic experts with a strong background in economics and finance.
Expert financial translators
We work with a network of financial translators specialised in this field. Moreover, we ensure that every single project is assigned to the most qualified resource, who is sure to adopt the correct terminology.
In financial and economic translations, quantitative data (volumes, currencies, units of measurement) very often also need to be translated; this requires being familiar with the linguistic codes for writing figures in the destination country.
Our financial translators and reviewers are experienced professionals, selected and qualified in compliance with the international standards laid down by the UNI EN ISO 17100:2017 standard, under which we are a certified company.
Whatever your business area, our Project Managers will support you in choosing the financial language service that best suits your needs, managing the entire project with transparent communication and the utmost respect for the confidentiality of your financial documents.

Translating financial statements into English
In addition to being mandatory, drawing up important documents such as annual financial statements allows companies to share their financial standing clearly and transparently with all their stakeholders.
Financial statements provide a snapshot of a company’s financial strength and stability. Having access to a company’s financial and economic documents is indispensable for all stakeholders: management, partners, associates, shareholders, potential investors, customers, competitors and regulators.
Certain companies and financial entities in EU member states are legally required to comply with the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and therefore draw up annual financial statements in English. These include companies listed on the stock exchange, companies issuing financial instruments widely distributed among the public, banks and financial institutions subject to surveillance, and companies that draw up consolidated financial statements or are consolidated by parent companies.
How to translate financial statements
Financial statements must be translated into English using the most appropriate and, above all, up-to-date terminology, given the regular changes in legislation.
Financial statements are split into three sections, each having a different purpose.
The balance sheet provides a snapshot of the company’s financial strength and stability. It is broken down into an assets segment (comprising the company’s receivables, its liquidity, and all its movable and immovable property) and a liabilities segment (comprising all outstanding debts). The company’s net worth is given by the difference between the two.
